DreamWave Technologies launched the original Tremor in 2016: a 50-watt speaker with a 20,800 mAh battery in a shell that reviewers spent more words on than the sound. Forbes headlined it “big, loud, tough.” The Gadgeteer said it could double as a battering ram. Outdoors.com called it more of a sound system than a speaker and ran it for two full weekends on one charge.

That first Tremor set the pattern the whole line still follows. Weather sealing first. A battery sized for the trip, not the afternoon. A body that survives the tailgate, the boat, and the truck bed. Then, and only then, tuning for the kind of space the speaker will actually be played in.

The line has since grown to the RockStar, the Conqueror, the Bolt, and a third-generation Tremor. DreamWave speakers have been sold through Crutchfield, Best Buy, and Newegg in the US, and are distributed by TEAC in Australia and by regional partners across Southeast Asia.

The name “DreamWave” gets borrowed a lot

Search the brand name on a big marketplace and the first page fills with pillow speakers and no-name lanterns riding the keyword, many rated two or three stars. They are not DreamWave products, and they are not ours. It is the main reason this store exists.

If you want a whole yard or a boat deck, that is the Tremor III. If you want one speaker that also lights the camp, that is the Conqueror.
